The "Querschnittsprüfung" in the elective Entrepreneurial Finance is an oral exam which is divided into three parts: Firstly, you are asked to prepare and structure an introductory question under supervision for 15 minutes. Secondly, you have 5 minutes to elaborate in detail on your prepared question. Please be aware that you should not significantly exceed these 5 minutes. Thirdly, you will be asked several questions on the introductory question as well as on the core courses of the elective Entrepreneurial Finance (approximately 10 minutes).

The “Querschnittsprüfung” will focus on the courses “Entrepreneurial Finance” and “Debt Financing for Entrepreneurs”. The content of the “Querschnittsprüfung” is adapted individually to each student in order to account for the courses which the student has passed within the elective. In order to be eligible for the exam you have to pass “Entrepreneurial Finance” and “Debt Financing for Entrepreneurs” (min. of 18 LP). Moreover, you should be capable of combining your knowledge imparted during the elective with the daily news relevant to our topic. The oral exam will be held in English. A pocket calculator is not allowed (and not necessary), though methodological questions about computations can be asked. 

Each semester, two oral exams are offered. One takes place on a certain day within six weeks after the start of the semester, the other one within six weeks after the semester. The examination takes 15 minutes in total. Please sign up as early as possible, as slots are assigned on a first come first served basis.
