General Information on Bachelor Thesis PDF Drucken E-Mail

  • Application form
  • Recent overview of the student’s grades
  • Recent version of the student’s CV
  • Exposé about own topic if desired

Please do not make enquiries without sending your complete application.

Prerequisites:
Students preferably have Entrepreneurial Finance as elective and participated successfully in one Seminar in Entrepreneurial Finance (I or II) at the Chair in Entrepreneurial Finance, supported by KfW Bankengruppe. If the number of applications exceeds the capacity of our chair, the selection of students will be based on grades in our lectures and seminars, the student’s field of interest and the current term of the student.
Process time: Maximum of 3 month from the date of registration.
Deliverables:Bachelor theses should have 30 (+/-3) pages as a text body.
Language:All topics can be prepared in English or German.
Topic:I. We offer concrete research topics that are related to ongoing projects at the chair (topics will be announced soon). If you have any questions concerning a specific topic, please contact the respective supervisor.

II. Furthermore we offer general research areas that we feel confident to supervise:

  • Private Equity (for questions please contact Ingo Stoff)

  • Family Firms (for questions please contact Mareike Besecke)

  • Social Entrepreneurship (for questions please contact Judith Mayer)

If you would like to write your thesis in one of these areas, please write an exposé about your specific topic. Based on the exposé we will examine whether we might oversee your thesis. Please notice the instructions for exposé.

In order to guarantee highly qualitative support for your thesis, we will be only able to supervise your thesis if it deals with one of the mentioned topics. Cooperation with companies for a bachelor thesis is also possible.

 Supervision: Students should meet their supervisor 2-3 times:
  • Specification of the topic (the registration of the thesis at the examination office has to take place within 4 weeks after the specification of the topic)
  • Meeting to discuss the structure of the paper
  • Optional meeting for further questions
